People who attend an day centre for adults in Richmondshire were very busy with Christmas activities in the run-up to the festive season.
‘Stained’ glass paintings and Christmas cards were just two examples of the work undertaken by people at the Broadacres-run ABLE (Activity Based Learning Environment) Day Centre.
The Centre was tasked with making the official Broadacres Christmas cards for 2017 and everyone did a fine job designing and making three different versions, amounting to 350 cards in total.
ABLE, which is situated at Bailey Court on the Colburn Business Park, near Catterick, is open to all adults, including those with learning/physical disabilities, acquired brain injury, mental health issues, dementia and autism.
Lynn Tomkinson, Manager of ABLE, said: “Christmas is always a busy time of the year for us, but everyone worked really hard and produced fantastic Christmas cards.
“We have also been using acetate to make festive paintings that have a stained-glass effect, which are now hanging up in the centre.”
